A guide to school & system improvement priorities for equity
The Education Equity Alliance is excited to launch its guide to school & system improvement priorities for equity. This guide has been built based on the contributions of over 1,000 students, teachers and system stakeholders - many from across low-SES school communities. A huge thank you to all those who have contributed.
The Guide
We know the urgent and important work being undertaken by schools and a range of system stakeholders to support improved equity for their students.
To support this work, the Education Equity Alliance has worked with over 1,000 students, teachers and system stakeholders to map the key conditions that enable improved equity. We have specifically focused on students from low-SES school communities and priority cohorts.
Some of these priorities will be familiar and are things that schools and their supporters are working hard on. Others conditions might receive less attention but we believe are deserving of prioritisation and effort because of their potential to support improvement.
Download the full guide below. This guide contains supporting detail on each section of the map, along with examples of practice and supporting resources.
Webinar Recording
On 31 October 2024, the Alliance hosted a webinar sharing the mud map and key insights from its works with other 1,000 students, teachers and system stakeholders.
